The Military Diet Day 2!

Day 2 and I’m still going strong on The Military Diet! I can feel my stomach getting smaller after every meal. My energy levels have been low so I have stopped exercising until after this is over because I don’t want to risk passing out.

Typical breakfast on this diet. I have a fried egg over toast. I was craving something sweet so I added a mini banana.   My lunch was actually really good. Here I have scrambled eggs, rice cakes, and sliced cheddar.   My dinner wasn’t as tasty as I thought it would be but it was very fulfilling. Here I have scrambled eggs, green beans (broccoli substitute), raw carrots with ranch, and frozen grapes (banana substitute). I put hot sauce on almost everything because it helps to burn more calories!   Dessert! Of course this is my favorite part each day. I actually only had half a cup of icecream because I was so full from dinner.  Here is my progress on Day 2. As you can see, my abs are becoming a little more defined. I can’t wait to finish this diet so that I can get back in the gym!

Overall, I’m really pleased with this diet. I really like that it is short term because I sometimes struggle with long term commitments and consistency! Stay tuned for more 🙂

The Military Diet

In efforts to lose a few pounds, I’ve decided to take on The Military Diet! As everyone knows, I am a cheerleader and gaining just a pound is unacceptable. I’ve gained 5 pounds since last year!

The Military Diet claims that you can lose up to 10 pounds in just 3 days without exercise if you follow their strict diet plan. So far, so good. I can definitely feel my fat eating itself.

For the next few days I will be posting my meals, workouts (voluntary), progress, and results. At the end of my diet, I will be posting a video to my YouTube channel. Below you will find what I had for each meal, at the end a picture, and my workouts.

So, breakfast was super fulfilling due to the massive grapefruit! As you may notice, I actually prepared my breakfast wrong from misreading. Day 1, I was supposed to have toast with peanut butter and not an egg! To drink, I had Mango Green Tea which was actually really disgusting. I think I’m going to stick to water for the rest of this Military Diet. I did notice that my food broke down a lot faster and I was starving within the next 3 hours.

For Lunch I had 6 rice cakes and half a cup of tuna. This definitely was NOT my favorite meal, but when you’re starving, you will eat anything! The diet plan calls for a slice of toast but you can substitute rice cakes instead. You can also find all substitutions listed on their website.
For Dinner I had 2 fried eggs, (which was equivalent to the 3 ounces the diet plan called for), 1 cup of green beans, and a small green apple. I had been anticipating this meal all day but it wasn’t as satisfying as I thought it would be. I did get full off of this meal but it didn’t serve my taste buds any justice. Bleh!
As you can guess, this was my favorite meal of the day! One cup of Vanilla Blue Bell ice cream. Yum! The diet plan calls for half a banana to go with the ice cream, but the bananas I bought weren’t any good, so I skipped the banana!

This is where I am at the beginning of the diet. I want to lose all the fat around my stomach and tone my legs. Later that night I worked out:

1 set =

  • 25 push-ups
  • 25 tuck ups
  • 25 lunge jumps

I did two sets of these after running a stadium of bleachers. After that, I did duck walks back and forth on a basketball court twice.

Overall this diet is pretty easy and simple but it takes a lot of discipline to stay on the right track and eat what you are supposed to. I don’t expect to lose 10 pounds, but I am hoping to get a little bit more tone and definition. This diet is more about my health and body composition than it is about a number on the scale. Stay tuned for the next few days! 🙂

  • What to do
  • What NOT to do
  • What to avoid

31 Days of March Madness

Tomorrow is March 1st, which means a new start! This month of February has been filled with TOO MUCH. Thankfully, I haven’t been overwhelmed but I have definitely been feeling the pressure. (Remember! Pressure makes glamorous diamonds). I’ve been juggling school, church, my relationship, my family, my duties on campus, and it’s time to add my blog as a priority on the list!

I personally feel like growth and change are inevitable, so why not embrace it? If you never change, you remain the same. In my life, progression, growth, and changes made in spirit of becoming a better person, are all important aspects. I don’t want to be the same person I am today, 5 or 10 years from now. So I’m making it a priority to challenge myself for the better.

Starting tomorrow I am taking on my own version of a March Madness Challenge. (Pretty sure I just made this up, lol). My challenge will consist of committing myself to write a blog post at least once EVERY DAY, drinking half my body weight in ounces of water per day, exercise at least 5 times a week, and getting closer to God. I will keep my blog updated with progress and anything new. I am extending this challenge to my Instagram as well.

In addition to that, I will be working on design and a logo. If March Madness goes as planned and I am successful with the challenge, then I will start a Youtube channel and begin vlogging! Hope all is well with everyone, be blessed and take the start of a new month as an opportunity for a new start! Butterflies symbolize change, so lets spread our wings and soar into success.
